Ready to Party

So, you’re super excited about an upcoming party that you were invited to but you have no idea what to wear… (You’re not alone, it happens to me all the time!) The outfit you choose to wear can make or break your night so it's worth some consideration. To avoid the frustration of walking around stores aimlessly because you can’t decide what to wear, try planning out a few looks before you go shopping.

I’ve seen many photos of girls with a great sense of style attending Sweet 16 parties this year... So now, I want to share some of the hottest party trends to get you ready and set to have some fun of your own.

The Skater Skirt
(Shopakira)

A skater skirt is like the easy button for party attire because you can pair it with just about any kind of top and shoes! Dress it up with a blouse and a pair of heels or dress it down with a cool graphic tee and some canvas sneakers. Regardless of what kind of party you’re going to, it’s helpful to have a solid colored skater skirt (or three) as an option for your outfit.

Fancy Pants
(Forever 21)

These pants, also known as harem pants, are perfect for night parties and for when the weather starts to cool down. They’re cute AND comfortable and can be worn with ballerina flats, sandals, or heels. Not only are you going to want to party in these, but you’re going to want to wear them to school too!

The Tuxedo
(Forever 21)

Who says that girls can't rock suits too? Well we can. And we can look great doing it! Find a textured or printed blazer with matching bottoms and be on trend with monochromatic dressing and sophisticated at the same time.

Statement Necklaces
(Juicy Couture)

A statement necklace can turn a basic outfit into a master piece. You can wear a pair of jeans and a solid shirt and still look fabulous if you have on a fashionable necklace. If you decide to go with one of these, it's best to wear studded earrings. Anything else that is too big or hangs too long might clash with the necklace.

Pointed-Toe Flats
(Zara)

These shoes are so awesome for parties. The pointed shape of the toe will give you a sharp, chic look but you won't have to worry about the pain heels sometimes cause. You can wear this kind of shoe with just about any ensemble you put together.

The Clutch
(Light in the Box)

You're going to need a bag for your personal things like your cell phone and lipsticks, but you probably won't want to be carrying around a huge purse all night. Find a clutch to match your outfit that is big enough to hold your necessities for a few hours but small enough to manage.

Finding an outfit now will be a piece of cake! Have confidence that you can put together a great look with some of these trends and let your awesome personality shine through your style.
