Like Me Not
Like Me
I always bring a jury of peers when I go shopping.
I don't just rock the boat--I sink it.
If I had invitations to two different parties, where one would have all of the popular people and the other would have the uncool people--but also sounds like more fun--I would still go to the first one.
Sometimes fitting in means you have do things you don't want to.
I'm as socially submissive as Xena: Warrior Princess.
If possible, I try to change things about my looks, personality, or behavior so I don't get a bad reputation.
I am very concerned about what others say or think about me.
Some of my best friends are "losers" by others' standards.
I dress, think, and act the way I want--even if being a green-haired-vegan- math whiz doesn't get me in all of the social circles.
I would consider Cher from Clueless an appropriate social role model.
Sometimes being myself means being as different from everyone else as possible.
I don't always succeed at being completely OK with who I am, but I make an honest effort to try all of the time.
I'm not into social security.
People who have stuff like shaved heads and five hundred ear, nose, and lip rings are just trying to get attention.
What's the harm in drinking or partying if everyone else is doing it?
I am one in a million!

Neither here nor there? Sounds like you're not one in a million--but one in about 500,000: You still want to fit in and be well-liked, but you're willing to take the occasional risk in the name of personal identity. This isn't a bad place to be, so don't get all freaked out and think that you have no individuality whatsoever. Just take special care to ask yourself if what you're doing is because you like it, or because others like it.
