Feel a Meal

What do YOU feel like eating... and why?

By Maggie Guseman

Friends and pizza. Movies and popcorn. Late nights and coffee. Stress and chocolate. Boredom and chips. Food is, of course, an important part of our lives. Not only is it necessary for physical survival, it also spices up our social world when we share it with family and friends.

When this social world takes us for a spin and leaves us in a funk, though, food can change with the mood. Instead of eating because our stomach is empty, we eat because we sense emptiness somewhere else. We try and find a tasty tidbit that will make us feel as good as it tastes - but in the end, we can't feel like our meal.
