Is Your Life A Royal Waste Of Time?

How much do YOU procrastinate?

By Cinse Bonino

We were going to write a really interesting introduction to this quiz, but we kept putting it off and ran out of time.

Are you a procrastinator? Take this quiz to find out!

  1. Your alarm clock startles you out of a really good dream. You:
    • Turn it off, stretch long and slow, and then get up.
    • Jump right out of bed as you turn off the ringer.
    • Hit the snooze button or turn off the alarm and take just a few snoozy minutes more.
  2. You have an interview for the coolest summer job imaginable. You:
    • Get up with enough time to pick out cool clothes and do your hair your favorite way.
    • Lay out your outfit and accessories the night before.
    • Frantically dash around at the last minute trying to put yourself together presentably.
  3. It's Wednesday and your mother's birthday is this coming Sunday. You:
    • Head downtown knowing exactly what you're going to get her.
    • Already have her present.
    • Freak because you have absolutely no idea what to get.
  4. Your period started two days early. You:
    • Use the last tampon in the box and tell your mom you need some more like now!
    • Open the new box in the cupboard you already asked your mom to buy last month.
    • Use one of your mom's tampons (the kind you hate) because yours are all gone.
  5. Your favorite show is on at 9:00 tonight. You:
    • Finish your shower just in time and micro some popcorn during the first commercial.
    • Curl up with your favorite blanket and snack in time to see last week's recap.
    • Say words your mother better not hear because you missed the opening segment.
  6. You got a beautiful purple journal for your birthday. You:
    • Write in it at least once every week.
    • Write in it every night before you go to bed, no matter how late you get in.
    • Stop writing in it, because you are embarrassed by how long ago the last entry was.
  7. Your mom wants to take you for a girls' day out manicure. You:
    • Are grateful because you haven't done your nails since last week.
    • Think it will be fun even though you just did you nails.
    • Wonder if you'll die of embarrassment when the manicurist sees your cuticles.
  8. You have to practice your guitar (piano, cello, whatever!) 30 minutes every day. You:
    • Do 15 minutes after lunch and 15 minutes before dinner to break it up.
    • Do all 30 minutes right after breakfast so you don't forget.
    • Do 5 or 10 minutes, get distracted by something really fun, and forget about the rest.
  9. Your best friend goes to a 3-week camp. You:
    • Send her a post card or letter that she'll get during the second half of her stay.
    • Send her a post card right away and a nice fat juicy letter each week.
    • Send her a post card that she may or may not get before she comes back home.
  10. You are so excited that the next Harry Potter movie is finally here. You:
    • See it the week before it leaves the theater.
    • Are in line opening night, ticket already in hand.
    • Miss it at the regular theater and the cheap seats, and hope the DVD comes out soon.
  11. You rent a buff-and-beautiful guy DVD for your sleepover party. You:
    • Have it ready for your mom to return, but have to run back in and grab the disc from the DVD player.
    • It's in the bag, on the doorknob, and ready before your mom asks.
    • Know it's still in the house, you just don't know where!
  12. You have a crush. A huge crush. You've made the decision to let him know you care. You:
    • Take quite awhile to get your courage up, but you DO it!
    • Take a few deep calming breaths, remember you're wonderful, and do the deed.
    • Worry and fret for so long that he falls for another girl.
  13. Your mom buys very healthy vitamins at the natural market for you. You:
    • Remember to take them about every other day.
    • Take one every morning, even if you're only having OJ.
    • Follow the one-a-month instead of one-a-day plan.
  14. Your soccer-camp team is having a picnic a week from today (Saturday). You:
    • Tell your mom the day before that she needs to make some cookies for the picnic.
