Do you use the stars and other signs to determine your path?

If you see the same shirt at six different stores, do you think it means that something or somebody is trying to tell you to buy it? Or, do you just think it means that WAY too many girls are going to show up at school in that same shirt really soon? Do you believe in and look for signs to help you make choices in your life? Many people do. Through the ages, human beings have tried to find out what the future holds for them. Most of us would still like to know what's going to happen next in our lives. Most of us also want to understand what makes us unique and different from each other.
Astrology is one way to get a picture of who you are. It's comforting to know that others born near your birthday have some of the same traits that you have. Maybe it's not so bad being stubborn because after all, aren't most Taurus Girls stubborn? Reading up on your Astrological Sun Sign and learning more about whether you are an earth, fire, air, or water sign can help you to learn about who you are.
Astrology isn't the only way to get a look at what makes you you. The shape of your hands and the lines on your palms tell a story about you too. The numbers that make up your birth date and even your name can be a key to other aspects of your personality. Whether you scrawl or practically draw your signature reveals much more than how neat and tidy you are. Maybe you were born in the Chinese year of the dog or the rat or even the monkey. Whatever animal graced your year of birth also characterizes your behaviors and even your outlook.
But are you the type of girl who believes in all this stuff?
Maybe not. Maybe you just enjoy it as something fun to do, but you don't actually think that it's true. Or maybe, you think that it's true sometimes, but not always. Personally, I believe that there's a lot more going on in the Universe than any of us could possibility understand, AND I think that just about everything is connected to everything else. I like finding out what things like Astrology, Palm Reading, Numerology, Chinese Horoscopes, Handwriting Analysis, Runes, and other systems have to say about me and my life.
BUT, I always believe that ultimately life is simply a series of choices, and even though I may be inclined by birth or circumstances to go in a certain direction or to follow certain signs, I STILL GET TO PICK!
A friend, who is an astrologer, once told me that she believes that the future is a series of possibilities. If you get your fortune told or you follow the signs, they tell you only one of all these possible futures. Visualize a table covered with file folders. Each folder tells the story of how your future could be. YOU get to decide which one to put your energy and your focus on. That one, the one you pick, receives the most energy and glows the brightest. I believe that one is the one most likely to come true. How about you?
