Do different fabrics affect your mood?

I have a theory about fabric. Just as aromatherapy suggests that scents can influence your mood (rosemary-- refreshing! lavender-- soothing!)-- I think fabric can shape your day.

Imagine yourself in three different tops: a leopard print pullover, a red wool cardigan sweater, and a yellow nylon jacket.

The day you wear that leopard print, you'll remember humans are animals too-- and are apt to feel sensual and alive.

Red wool sweater day may find you in the library rereading Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte and staring out the window imagining your own true romance.

The weightlessness of the yellow nylon jacket will highlight your physical strength, and, feeling powerful, you'll dash around the track during gym, instead of your usual stagger.

The runways often bring a dazzling mix of fabric and design which you can view on the web. Check out these fashion zines...
