Something Fishy is a
website that offers information on eating disorders and links to other related
sites.
The T-room is an interactive website,
sponsored by Tampax, that addresses menstruation as well as the physical
changes girls undergo during puberty.
Substance Abuse
Alanon-Alateen Family Groups,
based on the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous, provide support for families
and friends of alcoholics.
Girl Power! is a multi-phase
public health initiative designed to prevent drug abuse and
other risky behaviors among girls. This site has a section for parents with
facts,
statistics, and other helpful information, as well as a highly interactive
girls-only section
with games; tips on health, peer pressure, and self-esteem; and ways to
contribute to the
website.
