TechKnow Girl Sweepstakes Official Rules

No purchase is necessary to enter. The "Sweepstakes Period" is November 3, 2000 to October 31, 2001. The sponsor of this sweepstakes is Girl Zone Community, Inc. (South Burlington, VT) ("Sponsor"). The Sweepstakes drawings will take place on November 11, 2001.

Eligibility: Entrants must be residents of the United States. The 20 sweepstakes prizes have a combined total value of $2600. For more information see our Prize Page. There will be 20 winners.

How to enter: After participation in the TechKnow Girl Techtorial, entrants follow directions to register by providing their e-mail address and the Topic Name of the Techtorial. Entrants may include 12 entries, one for each monthly Techtorial. E-mail entry is the only method of entry and there will be no consideration of entries made in another method. Any use of robotic, automated, macro, programmed or like entry methods will void all such entries by such methods. Entrant agrees that Sponsor and it's agents, advisors and subcontractors are not liable for late entries; lost, misdirected, or mutilated electronic transmissions; technical, hardware, software, telephone, website, Internet problems or failures of any kind, computer viruses or bugs; or any injury or damage to any computer resulting from participation in this sweepstakes or downloading materials for this sweepstakes. Contest is limited to one entries per person, per household. The deadline for all entries is October 31, 2001 at 12 AM EST.

Winners: Winners will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period. The drawing will be conducted on November 11, 2001. The Sweepstakes Sponsor will randomly determine which winner wins each prize. All prize winners must accept or decline the prize they are offered; no trade-ins or exchanges will be considered. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Winner will be notified by e-mail only. If entrants have a change of e-mail address during the Sweepstakes Period, they should resubmit entries with the new address. Prizes not claimed within 30 days of notification will be deemed forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate winner. Each entrant is eligible to win only one sweepstakes prize. Winner may be asked to return an affidavit of eligibility/publicity release within 14 days of notification or an alternate winner will be selected. Sponsor will comply with all laws pertaining to right of privacy. If a winner is under the age of 12, a parent must provide the necessary contact information for prize fulfillment. If winner is under age 18, parent must sign approval for the prize fulfillment.

If, in the Sponsor's sole opinion, there is any suspected or actual evidence of electronic or non-electronic tampering with any portion of the sweepstakes or if technical or other difficulties compromise the integrity of the sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right to suspend, modify, terminate the sweepstakes and in such an event to select winners through a random drawing from all valid entries received prior to (and after, if appropriate) the action take by the Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify an entrant, who in the Sponsor's opinion, has circumvented or violated (or attempted to circumvent or violate) these rules or damage the content or operation of this Sweepstakes or this website. Sponsor may render void subsequent entries of such disqualified entrants and take other legal action as appropriate. Sponsor may modify or cancel the contest at any time.

By entering the Sweepstakes, entrants release and hold Sponsor, it's affiliates, partners, agents, advisors, shareholders, employees, directors, officers, prize donators, representatives harmless from and against any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind arising in connection with the Sweepstakes or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use or misuse of any prize including, without limitation personal injury, death, property damage as well as claims based on violation of publicity rights, defamation and invasion of privacy. Winner must grant permission for Sponsor to use name, etc, without permission, except where prohibited. Winner is solely responsible for all federal, state and local taxes. Prizes are not transferable and no cash prizes are provided as substitute.
