Young People's Press is a national news service for youth. They have published youth writing in over 200 newspapers & contribute to a weekly section in Canada's largest daily, The Toronto Star. YPP accepts non-fiction submissions from youth 14 to 24.

The Women's Sports Foundation wants to know why you like playing sports. Tell them what you think about any sports-related issues. They may print your comments in their newsletter, SportsTalk, or in Girl Zone's Sweat feature.

The Girls' Book of Love to be published in Fall 2002 will feature real-life stories (200 to 400 words) from girls and women about their experiences with love. It will celebrate and explore crushes, flirting, dating, first love, relationships, and more. The editor is lookin for inspiring or otherwise powerful stories about how a romantic relationship has helped you grow or change, or made your life more rich or meaningful. Poems are also welcome. It's best if you write from your own point of view (e.g., "I was happy..." If your story is included, you'll receive a copy of the book. The deadline for stories to be received is June 15, 2001. Special consideration will be given to any material received earlier.

Please include your name, age if you're under 18, address, and telephone number (this information will be kept confidential).
