Hope & Inspiration
Hey guys, its Sofia from This is Girl Talk here to talk to you about Hope and Imagination.
Everyone has this one special thing that gives them hope. Whether it's imaginary or something in the history books. You can find hope in any way, shape, or form, by hearing something on the T.V., reading it on a billboard, it coming to you in a dream, or in your own head. Hope is defined as an expectation of fulfillment or success. When someone tells me that they have hope or believe in someone or something because of someone or something, it makes me have hope.
When I read Harry Potter, it gives me hope and life. For me, it's my happy place, a place full of imagination and triumph. Harry Potter is about love, friendship, hardship, good vs. evil, and finding yourself. Albus Dumbledore's lines speak to me in a way I cannot explain because what it means to me might not be what it means to someone else. My utmost favorite quote from Albus Dumbledore is "Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on Earth should that mean that it is not real?" Harry Potter has given me, and so many other people in the world, something no one can ever take away. Hope and imagination.
J.K. Rowling created Harry Potter on a four hour train ride from Manchester to London. While in the midst of writing, her mother had passed, she married a man, and a year later he divorced her! Leaving her with their newborn daughter Jessica. After hitting rock bottom, she used that as her 'foundation', as she said, to start her life up again. A single mother raising a child all alone, as broke as someone could be without becoming homeless, became a billionaire and one of the most well-known authors for children and adults. That was all because of her imagination, hope, and drive.
There are so many things in life that can influence us and we don't even notice it. Things that make us smile or take our mind off things. Watching movies like Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Hunger Games, or even Rise of the Guardian, can make your imagination go wild. Any movie that makes you ask yourself "What if . . .", is a movie that makes your imagination go on overdrive.
Teachers are always hopeful in the beginning of the year because they always want every year to be better than the last. They have hope in their students, for the sure fact that they want them to pass. Throughout the school year some teachers give up hope on some students because of how the student has acted. Yet, some teachers have hope that all their students will pass, and they'll try their hardest to make it happen.
Hope can give anyone a better outlook on life. It gives you something to look out for. When I write, it gives me hope for the future- my future writing career. I hope this article gives you hope. xo
