Hey! I'm Lisa :) Sports and music are my life. I've survived middle school and I am now making my way though the crazy high school world. I would love to share my fun, emotional, and eye opening journey with you!

To some people making friends come naturally, but for people like me, making friends may not be the easiest thing in the world, especially in high school. Here are some tips that will definitely help you in the friend making process.

Be yourself! I cant stress this enough! If you're looking for a true friend, just be you! You are never going to find a good friend that relates to you if you never show people who you really are. Do something that you love to do, join an art class, your favorite sport team, a club that interests you. If you do this, you will be surrounded with people who at least have one thing in common with you. These are the people who will make the best of friends.

When it comes to making friends in highschool, we think the more we have the better. But that's not exactly the case. If you are too busy trying to get as many friend that you can, you will never really develop a proper friendship. Yea, it may be cool to say that you have 10 BFFs but chances are that you are not really close with anyone. This is where my problem was. I was so caught up in trying to make as many friends as possible that I didn't care if they were good friendships, I just wanted a lot of friends. Then the time came when I needed someone to talk to and no one was there because I didn't create a connection between anyone to build trust.  That's why when it comes to making friends in high school, a few amazing friends is better then a bunch of people who you kind of know.

So, the next time you try to make friends, you will see that you will find true friends by being yourself and less is always more when you have a group of friends :)
