My mother is on the phone 24/7. Even when I am talking to her she is looking at that little iPhone screen barely listening to me. I am sick of it. I feel like my mother has a better relationship with that toy than she has with me. If I try to talk to her about it, she gets offensive and it turns into a non-related argument.

Be laid back, while secretly being up front. Like for example, save up some money and say mom lets go for ice cream my treat and make sure she doesn't bring her phone. Or say I have an an idea lets have no technology for a day. See if that works.
