Winter is a tricky season when it comes to beauty. The cold air can be a pain, but luckily there are a ton of amazing products on the market to combat this issue!
As The Teen Fashion Blogger (theteenfashionblogger.blogspot.com), I have experienced the effects of winter first-hand and have had the opportunity to try out a range of different products that are made specifically for the season. Today I am going to share with you my fave beauty picks for winter that I believe do their job really well. Enjoy!
1. Body Butter
In winter, your skin is prone to dryness from the cool air. To avoid dry skin, make sure to moisturise everyday after your shower. It will ensure that your skin remains silky smooth and glowing during the cold season. A handy winter tip is to moisturise your feet and then put on a pair of thick socks before going to bed. When you wake up your feet will be as soft as a baby’s butt!
Pick up a body butter from Victoria’s Secret – they absorb much quicker than a body lotion and feel amazing on your skin.
2. Hand & Nail Cream
You use your hands to do everything, so don’t forget that they need to be treated too! To ensure that your hands don’t get dried out from the cold winter air, use hand cream everynight before bed to wake up with super soft paws. This one by MOR smells like marshmallows – it is delicious!
Moisturiser is a definite winter must -have! The cold winter air dries your skin out, so it is essential that you restore it to its natural oil balance. A good moisturiser to use is the Clinique Acne Solutions Clearing Moisturiser; it feels absolutely amazing on your skin!
4. Lip Balm
Just as the cold air dries out your skin, it also dries out your lips. The cold air can cause your lips to become so dry that they become chapped. A good lipbalm to restore your lips to their natural state is the EOS Lipbalm in Strawberry Sorbet.
5. Deep Lipstick
A deep coloured lipstick in a burgundy (Forever21) or plum (Kevyn Aucoin) colour is perfect for the winter season. To make the colour more age appropriate, dab the lipstick lightly on your lips and then smudge with your finger. Then, apply a clear lipgloss on top. The colour will look much more natural and pretty.
