Alexa's Holiday Gift Guide
Holiday gift guide by Alexa Curtis (Aka Miss Fashionista), the 16 yr old fashion blogger who writes A Life in the Fashion Lane.
I find buying gifts for my friends is really difficult. My parents are easier, since they either say "nothing" or are very specific with what they want. When it comes to young adults, we either A) don't have any money to buy our friends the gifts they deserve B) have one too many friends to spend $75 on each of them, if you know what I mean. That's why I designed this gift guide for you to have a few affordable, fashionable and personal items to gift your best friends (or even boyfriend) during the gifting season.
1. For the man in your life: Athlete Grooming Kit- $120
A perfect way to (easily) convince him to both smell and look good, with a few key essential products from Mr. Porter.
2. Nordstrom Chunky Beanie: $24
For every young adult in your life, a simple beanie is a cheap and fun way to vamp up any outfit, and keep your wallet in check.
3. The World According To Karl: $29.95
Whether you're a fashionista or looking for an easy and intriguing read, Karl Lagerfeld's newly released novel is a collection of his hilarious and edgy saying, along with phenomenal pictures.
4. Modcloth Scarf: $19.99
A great choice for an older or younger woman, a classic grey scarf is bound to have you in your loved ones mind every time they put the scarf on (which is going to be frequently.)
5. Beats by Dr. Dre: $269.95
Even though these are on the pricier side, they are a fabulous option for a male or female, fashionista or sports junkie, workaholic or exerciseaholic. The simple grey color is both fashionable and gender friendly.
6. Fujifilm Instax Camera: $65-$99
Coming from personal experience, this little polaroid camera has been my favorite holiday gift to date. The pink color is super bubbly and sweet for your best friend, but Fuji also offers tons of other models and colors (some less expensive and more) fit for any person in need of a polaroid camera this season.
7. Filomena Baking Collection- $16
What is more fun than an eye catching baking collection, suitable for cooking all your holiday needs in? And for the price, this one is hard to beat.
8. American Eagle Epic Flannel Shirt: $39.95
I happen to have this exact shirt, and found it on sale for $20 in the store a few weeks ago. Besides the major warmth that comes the minute the shirt is on your body, it's a great boyfriend style, sexy enough to wear over dresses for an edgy addition, but subtle enough for jeans and boots.
P.S. I used an amazing photo editing site called Fotor to make the photo collages above. It's a FREE online photo editing site great for all your basic editing needs. I loved how easy maneuvering around the site was, and there are tons of editing options, none that cost extra. Happy shopping!
